What is Game Plan?
Game Plan is a digital platform designed to provide sporting clubs of all sizes with insights into their current capability and connect them with specific tools and resources to build and support ongoing development.
How does Game Plan work?
Game Plan works by translating a club's priorities into short, individual assessments to determine their current level of strategic and operational capability. Game Plan provides relevant information and resources to support a club to then build their capability and improve performance.
What type of organisations can use Game Plan?
Game Plan is available for all sporting clubs and organisations.
What does my Maturity Level mean?
A maturity level is a measure of a club's capability. There are four maturity levels within Game Plan:
- Not in Place: Risk area, please take immediate action.
- Developing: Potentially does not meet minimum standard, take action as soon as possible.
- Developed: Meets minimum standards and is sound process but still has improvement potential.
- Excelling: Highest level of benchmarked excellence – well done and keep going!
What documents or resources do I need while completing Game Plan?
You do not require any documents or resources in order to complete an assessment. It is however recommended when completing an assessment module, that you have a good understanding of your club processes in that particular area. This will help ensure you answer each question as accurately as possible and that you receive appropriate information and resources to support your ongoing development.
How do I register my club?
Click on the 'Register an account' button on the Game Plan landing page and follow the prompts. To register a club, you will be required to provide a club name, sport and location.
How do I update my contact details?
Contact details can be updated within the user menu. Simply find your user name in the top right corner of your screen and select My Profile to view and edit your personal information.
How do I edit my club profile?
You can update your club profile at any time by selecting the Club Profile button on the Game Plan taskbar.
What is a 'Super User'?
A Super User has administration rights within a Game Plan account including the ability to invite, approve and deny member access, promote and demote member rights as well as access and edit Club Profile information.
What is an approved user?
An Approved User has basic access rights within a Game Plan account including the ability to complete assessments and view pages. Approved Users do not have rights to invite, approve or deny member access or edit Club Profile information.
How do I invite another club committee member/ user?
You can invite members of your club to join your Game Plan account via the Invite User button within the Club Members page. Simply find your user name in the top right corner of your screen and select My Members. You can invite members to join as either Super Users or Approved Users.
Why should I have more than one user for my club?
Having more than one user allows you to operate more efficiently and effectively. You can assign members of your committee to complete assessments relevant to their position and expertise and make informed decisions as a committee by discussing your insights and sharing information and resources to build your capability.

Who has access to my club data and what can they use it for?
Can my Game Plan Data be used for funding, grants or compliance?
The Australian Sports Commission will not rely on Game Plan data for funding or compliance purposes. However, partners including National Sport Organisations and State and Territory Departments of Sport and Recreation may choose to use the Game Plan initiative to support their own servicing or investment decisions.
