An exciting new Community Coaching course is now available on the Australian Sport Learning Centre.
The new online course replaced the existing Community Coaching General Principles Course, which was retired when the new course went live.
The FREE Community Coaching – Essential Skills Course delivers on the core learning objectives of the current General Principles course and brings a far more participant focused approach to coaching through new modules.
Q. Do I need to complete the new Community Coaching Essential Skills course?
A. The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) encourages all current and new community coaches to complete the new course.
Q. Is my Community Coaching General Principles course still valid?
A. Some sports have chosen to recognise the Community Coaching General Principles Certificate for 12 months from commencement of the new course, before requiring coaches to complete the new Community Coaching Essential Skills course.
Please check with your sport to understand what your sport has chosen to recommend and/or mandate within programs/certifications/accreditations frameworks.
Q. Will I still be able to access my Community Coaching General Principles course certificate?
A. Yes, you will still be able to gain access and download your certificate if you have completed the existing General Principles Course in the Australian Sport Learning Centre.
Completion of this course will remain on your Record of Learning. Your Record of Learning is accessible via your dashboard, either in the screen header (desktop) or in the hamburger menu (mobile).
For more information about the course, please visit the ASC - Training for Coaches here
